Esprit Equestrian Center

Whimsical was bred by Jean Brinkman of Valhalla Farm in Wellborn, Florida. She had a successful career in Dressage as a young horse. In 1994 she placed 4th at Training Level in the USDF Open division, 2nd in the All Breed Awards and won the ATA Dressage Futurity. "Whimsey" came to live at Esprit in the spring of 2006. In 2008 she produced her first foal, the delightful colt Warumnicht, by Tradition *Pb*, who has been sold to Greg and Donna Horne of Harrison, Maine.

Late Knight Return

1989, 15.3 h bay Thoroughbred mare by Knight Landing

"Willa" came to live at Esprit in 1996. She has had a dual career showing in Dressage and also producing four foals, three of which have been sold to Greg and Donna Horne of Harrison, Maine.

Pscilla

1990, 16.0 h chestnut Trakehner mare by Pregelstrand *E*

Pscilla was bred by Vanda Werner of Mile High Horse Ranch in Parker, Colorado. She came to Esprit in 2002 on a breeding lease from Joy Metcalf of Northport, Maine and produced a lovely filly Psyche, by Donaufürst *Ps*E*. She was purchased by Miriam Bennett of Fairfield, Maine, a client of Esprit, who found her to be a very reliable mount to ride. In 2005 with the untimely death of Miriam, after a successful season showing in Dressage which had been Miriam's desire, Pscilla again became a broodmare for Esprit and has produced two exceptional foals by Tradition *Pb*.

Dynamit

1992, 16.1 h grey Trakehner mare by Bütow *E*

"Dyna" was bred by Rolling Oaks Farm of Elgin, Illinois and produced five foals for them before coming to live at Esprit in the spring of 2007. In 2008 she produced the outstanding filly Dynastie by Guy Laroche. She is bred to Tzigane for a 2009 foal.

Petra

1992, 16.0 h bay Trakehner mare by Meistersinger *Ps*

Petra has the distinction of being my first Trakehner. I acquired her as a yearling in 1993. She has had a dual career showing in Dressage and also producing three foals. Her son Pregelherz by Pregelstrand was sold to Janice Milheim of Topsham, Maine and another son Pippin d'Esprit by Tradition *Pb* was sold to Rachel Lovell of Clinton, Maine.

Symphonic

1996, 16.1 h brown/black Trakehner mare by Hailo *Pg*E*

Symphonic came to Esprit in 2003 in foal to Donaufürst *Ps*E*. In 2004 she produced the wonderful filly Schwentine who will follow in her dam's footsteps as a broodmare for Esprit. In 2005 she produced an outstanding colt by Tradition *Pb*, Sagenhaft who is proudly offered for sale at Esprit.

Donautänzerin

1999, 16.2 h dark bay Trakehner mare by Hadrian

"Tänzerin" was inspected and approved for the ATA Stud Book in 2003. She was Reserve High Score Mare at the Inspection. She produced the exceptional filly Donauseraph by Tradition *Pb* in 2006 who was ATA Weanling Champion Filly in 2006 and ATA Yearling Champion Filly in 2007.

Catara Mist

2000, 15.3 h gray Trakehner mare by Tarim

"Mist" was inspected and approved for the ATA Stud Book in 2003. She has not yet been used for breeding.

"Feuer" was inspected and approved for the ATA Stud Book in 2003. She has not yet been used for breeding.

2001, 16.2 h black Trakehner mare by E.H. Tambour

"Mousy" was bred and inspected in Germany. She was champion Trakehner of the Mare Performance Test in 2004 in Alsfeld, Germany. She was imported into Canada by Shawnda Nadeau in the fall of 2004 in foal to Waitaki producing a lovely colt the following year. In 2008 she produced a filly by Titulus. She came to Esprit in May of 2009 on a breeding lease to be bred to Tradition *Pb*.

Frohefürstin

2002, 15.3 h dark bay Trakehner mare by Insterfürst

"Fürstin" was inspected and approved for the ATA Stud Book in 2005. She has not yet been used for breeding.

Psyche

Psyche was inspected and approved for the ATA Stud Book in 2008. She was High Score Mare at the Inspection. She has not yet been used for breeding.

Froehliebchen

1985, 15.3 h bay Trakehner mare by Donauschimmer

Froehliebchen came to live at Esprit in 1998. At Esprit she produced two daughters Feuerwasser and Frohefürstin that have been inspected and approved for the ATA Official Stud Book and two sons Feiertag who was sold to Christine Joost and Fachmann who is proudly offered for sale at Esprit. In 2006 she was awarded Honor Roll Mare status by the American Trakehner Association for producing 10 foals registered with the ATA. We sadly lost "Froeh" on April 23, 2012 at the grand old age of 27. Her legacy will live on at Esprit through her daughters.

Donaumädchen *M*

1994, 16.2 h dark bay Trakehner mare by Bütow *E*

"Madchen" was bred by Rolling Oaks Farm in Elgin, Illinois. She came to live at Esprit in the spring of 1999 in foal to Hadrian and produced the exceptional filly Donautänzerin. In 2000 she had a fabulous year showing In Hand qualifying to compete at the Championships in Devon, Pennsylvania were she placed third in the Trakehner class. She was also started under saddle that year and went on to compete at Second Level. In 2007 she produced the top quality filly Donaudiva by Timotheus who finished second in the nation in the Weanling Filly Division. On May 21, 2009 she produced an exceptional colt by Pavarotti. Sadly we lost her to an inoperable colic as a result of carrying the foal on May 24th.

Isleta

1996, gray Trakehner mare by Martini *Pg*E*

In 2003 and 2004 Isleta was at Esprit on a breeding lease and produced the delightful colt Isar by Donaufürst *Ps*E* who was sold to Erin Shanahan of Jacksonville, Florida. Isleta has gone back to her owner Sandra Hubbard of Ft. White, Florida where she produced a lovely filly who is for sale by Tradition *Pb*.

Katsieg

1997, bay Trakehner mare by Sieg

In 2001 and 2002 Katsieg was at Esprit on a breeding lease and produced the talented colt Kandinsky d'Esprit by Impressionist who was sold to Janice Milheim of Topsham, Maine. "Kat" has gone back to a riding career with her owner Mary Condo-DeRosa of Bath, Maine.

Olympia

1987, 16.0 h brown Swedish mare by Leopard

In 2001 Olympia took a break from a successful career in Dressage to produce the exceptional colt Johan, by the Swedish stallion Johanniter, while on a breeding lease at Esprit. Johan was sold to Jean Brinkman of Valhalla Farm in Wellborn, Florida. "Olivia" has since gone back to a being a riding horse with owner Pamela Johnson currently in Beverly Hills, Florida.
